The Great Escape

"The Great Escape" a captivating visual from Morgan Jones's Masked Series, presents three ballerinas with owl and fox masks—one on the city street and two exiting a Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) streetcar. Above them, a series of swirls embellish the air, adding a layer of movement to the composition set against the Broadview Hotel in Leslieville.

Each original piece of art is made by Morgan from start to finish, including the wood panel and floating frame. After mounting the image to the wood panel, Morgan carefully applies several layers of mixed media embellishments such as gel medium, varnish, 12K white gold leaf, and paint.
