Sneak Attack

"Sneak Attack," from the Animals Series by Morgan Jones, depicts a raccoon sneaking along an old farmhouse floor, while an owl and a songbird partake in tea and cake on the window ledge above. Set against the backdrop of a room in an abandoned farmhouse with peeling wallpaper and a worn and weathered window, this image contrasts the raccoon's playfulness with the abandoned home's dilapidated setting.

Each original piece of art is made by Morgan from start to finish, including the wood panel and floating frame. After mounting the image to the wood panel, Morgan carefully applies several layers of mixed media embellishments such as gel medium, varnish, 12K white gold leaf, and paint.
